Squig

The Sguig is one of our favorite chairs, and is appropriate in a wide range of applications.  It is equally at home in executive and home offices as it is for general use task seating, and is even simple enough for use in conference rooms.  Keilhauer is one of those companies that gets it, and has been able to bring togther great design and world class ergonomics at a reasonable price point in this chair.  Together with Soma, Neutral Posture and RFM, Keilhauer has led the way in the use of thoracic ridge supports. which opens the shoulders and encourages good spinal posture.  They also have researched and published a study on seated pelvic position, leading to their Pelvic Balance Point technology, also featured on the Sguig.   See the white papers attached below to learn more.

One other feature we look for in great seating is the ability acommodate different size people, and Sguig does this nicely, with seat depth and back height adjustment, plus arms that spin 180 degrees so they can be long or short, allowing thinner people to pull up close to the desk without being blocked by the chair arms.  Sguig sits firmly and supportively.  It has a synchrotilt mechanism which allows for a nice smoooth rocking motion, as well as fixed positioning, and offers a slight forward tilt for upright sitting.

Sguig comes standard with its own Sguig textile, in three embossed patterns each in 12 colors.  It is also available in leather and a variety of other approved fabrics.  To order one of the non-standard fabrics, please contact us directly.

Sguig comes standard with carpet casters, a gray nylon base and a translucent white gas-lift cover.  Options include hard floor casters, polished aluminum base, a gray gas-lift cover and CAL 133 fire treatment for use in hospitals.
